What is Ayurveda?
Ayurveda is more than a healing system, it’s a way of living in harmony with nature, rooted in the belief that true wellness comes from balance.
Understanding the History
This sacred knowledge has been gifted by Dhanvantari Bhagwan, the divine physician and incarnation of Shri Vishnu, who emerged during the cosmic churning of the ocean.
During the Vedic period in India over 5,000 years ago, Ayurveda gained further traction alongside yoga and meditation, as part of a holistic approach to life.
Throughout history Ayurveda has guided people through seasonal rhythms, emotional shifts, and physical changes, offering tools to prevent illness, restore vitality, and deepen self-awareness.
Ancient Wisdom
for Modern Living
Today, Ayurveda is more relevant than ever. In a fast-paced world, it invites us to slow down, listen to our bodies, and reconnect with nature. Whether through herbal teas, daily rituals, or mindful eating. Ayurveda helps us cultivate resilience and clarity.
At Tejas, we draw on this wisdom to craft blends and rituals that support digestion, sleep, focus, and emotional ease, each product a small act of balance.
The Three Doshas
Ayurveda teaches that everything, including you is made of five elements: earth, water, fire, air, and ether. These elements combine into three doshas, or energies, that shape your physical and emotional tendencies.
We all carry all three doshas, but one or two tend to dominate. Understanding your dosha helps you choose foods, herbs, and rituals that bring you back to balance.
